Check-In Medium

First and foremost, I purchased my first hard shell luggage 2 years ago and the company provided a 10 year warranty. On the first flight, the wheel area cracked and the company refused to replace it or refund me. I was beyond annoyed and decided to do my research when purchasing another luggage. I was initially going to avoid a hard shell until I stumbled on MONO. I read the reviews, watched the stress test video and looked over the warranty. After carefully considering other brands, I felt that MONO not only exude integrity, I really felt like they took pride in there products. I made my purchase with confidence and chose the light taupe colour for easy identification on the luggage belt. The only concern I had with this purchase was the fact it didn't have an extension option but that concern easily disappeared. I fit the same amount of items in this luggage with ease. The zipper was so easy to use and I had no issues closing the suitcase up. In 5 weeks, I took my luggage on 9 flights and dragged it through the rain forest and on a boat. This luggage was so easy to drag and swivel on different terrains. The luggage is obviously scuffed up but I don't care and have yet to try and wipe it clean. I am very satisfied with my purchase!

I'm a grown man and this is the first actual piece of luggage I've ever bought for myself. My entire life I've traveled with hand-me-down suitcases, weekender bags, or various duffles... even when flying overseas.

Can I please tell you how dumb I feel for not ever investing in quality luggage before now? Can I also tell you how legitimately impressed I am with this piece that I'm about to immediately pull the trigger on a matching Carry On Pro?

I compared a ton of other options, from Away (obviously), July, Beis, to a bunch of trendy offerings on IG, to more expensive options like Rimowa. I couldn't be more thrilled about deciding on Monos. The interior layout and design was really the deal maker for me, but I also wanted something that looked as good as it functioned. For me, Monos hit the perfect balance of everything I was looking for.

I opted for a Stellar White Medium Check-In. The sizing was exactly where I hoped it would be. After receiving it, I feel the Large would be a little too big for my needs. The quality is great, the wheels are super smooth and quiet like all the other reviews mention, and the zippers are solidly smooth. I also picked up a set of four cubes, and a protective cover to help keep scrapes and scuffs down. The cover is frosted clear to let the color show through, but feels thick enough to not get trashed on first use. I highly recommended picking one up if you're concerned about scuffs.

I ordered the Check-In Medium in Stellar White. The white is sort of a soft beige/off white, it actually perfectly matched my FitBit in Lunar White. So not a bright white. It was on Pre-Order so it took a while to get it, however, I received it before the estimated ship date. I used it for a two week European trip, so it went thru 2 connecting flights, a one-way flight, Ubers, and a water taxi. I wasn't really interested in a cover so it definitely got scuffed up, but I was able to get it cleaned up with minimal effort. I ordered the large during Black Friday and received it in 3 business days. TIP: Do yourself a favor and buy a full size Magic Eraser, it'll save you some frustration.

The medium check in is a nice size, very lightweight, rolls easily - all the things promised. But Desert Taupe is not as pictured. Pictured it looks like true taupe/neutral in color, and expensive. In person it tends toward blush pink (creams can have pink undertones) and the tone makes it look cheaper than advertised. It’s so different I actually thought I got the Quartz for a moment. If you’re buying this color, you’re expecting the very “of the moment neutral” but this does not deliver to expectations. Will be returning for black, since reading other reviews the blue is not as pictured either unfortunately.
